I’ll be honest, the fact that the inside of the bin needed a wash was the main motivator for getting the pressure washer out. and the car was entirely secondary since I had it all out already

OIC. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume that you briefly considered ceramic coating the inside bin

I gotta svend my can tonight. When I open it, I immediately eat 9,000 fruit flies . It’s revolting.

here’s my life pro tip. I use melted wax scent thingers in the house. When the wax is all spend and seems to be no longer odo
rizing my home I collect em all and let em melt in a bag hanging inside my bin.
smells marginally better.

There was a point in my life where I had two kids in diapers and a 90+ lb dog. My trashcan was 30 pounds of shit every week. It was horrifying

It’s on my weekend to-do as well . Recycling bins included!
The fruit flies seem really bad this year.

I use a 1/4 cup of bleach, a good squi rt of liquid dish soap and a few gallons of water. S wirl all around and scrub with a broom. Let it sit for 15 minutes, so it disinfects and deodorizes. Poor mixture, into another thrash can if there are more, give a quick rinse.
I have also been known to spray a little insect repelle nt in the can during summer months.

Y’know, I remember seeing an interesting video years ago showing off this new coating that would revolutionize our ability to get every last drop out of a condiment bottle. And I remember thinking that companies would never spend the money on such a thing that would help the consumer get the most out of each bottle, thus delaying the next purchase...
Then lo and behold, here come ketchup bottles with very similar coatings. I was not expecting that!

i imagine it was that they needed something to set them apart from all the other ketchups which are all basiclaly the same
and its not like americans slowed down consumin g ketchup

Hm y eah, I kinda like the idea of the coating being intended as a selling point...
... bu t I don’t recall ever seeing any advertisements about them implementing the coating. Nor any mention of it on the packaging. Maybe I just don’t watch enough TV and just happened t o miss out on the ad campaign? I dunno
